Position: Program Manager – Des Plaines
Location: Des Plaines, IL
Reports to:Vice President

Master’s degree in behavioral health care field, appropriate Illinois license, and management experience in a not-for-profit social service setting required. Candidates must have one of the following licenses; LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW. We will give preference to those candidates with a Master’s degree in social work or another clinical field such as counseling, psychology, etc. Prior Methadone program management experience is required. Must have ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Need to have the adaptability to work in a fast paced environment. Ability to interact in a positive manner with all disciplines and clients is required. Being proactive in problem solving and having an appreciation of continuous improvement concepts is desirable. Knowledge of basic computer software applications and the SAMMS client software system is required. Hours will vary depending on the needs of the agency. Theses may include evening and Saturday hours. Knowledge of ASAM clinical guidelines, DASA, JACHO, FDA, DEA rules and statutes are essential.

Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include management of multi-disciplinary treatment team responsible for clients enrolled in the program. Ensures the program meets record keeping standards as prescribed by FGC policies and procedures and governing regulatory entities. Oversee productivity of the program and submits monthly reports to the VP. Be responsible for the supervision and scheduling of all assigned site staff. Oversee recruitment, orientation, and ongoing training of new staff. Be accountable for cash flow. Serves as site liaison with DHS/DASA for FGC. Make recommendations to update and revise policies and operating procedures. Supervises and assist counselors in treatment related activities. At a minimum, conducts one clinical supervision meeting on a monthly basis with counselors. Prepares and leads staff meetings and forwards minutes to the VP. Make recommendations for hiring and termination to the VP. Assist with interviewing all new program applicants. Attend manager meetings as requested. Ensures Quality Improvement Plans are implemented in accordance with the PI auditor. Manage program design, marketing, and performance improvement. Other related duties as assigned.
