Youth Programming

School-based Prevention/ Treatment:
In the spring of 2000, FGC began a youth initiative to serve at risk adolescents and pre-adolescents.
Hundreds of students have been served through creative in-school programming at Frederic Von Schiller Elementary School, Kelvyn Park High School (Chicago) and Metro-Prep School (Arlington Heights).

Adolescent services are integrated into the school’s daily programming. Utilizing continuous on-site collaboration with school leaders and staff, FGC’s clinical staff has provides immediate on-site assessment, prevention and treatment services for those youth most at risk for substance abuse. Community education is a priority with educational events conducted in close collaboration with community leaders, educators, and parents.
