Mobile MAR:
FGC operates three mobile vans that carry FDA-approved medications to treat opioid use disorder (buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone) on the van. A medical team prescribes and dispenses medications to patients in the community, and outreach teams support patient linkage and engagement with ongoing treatment.

Mobile Harm Reduction:
FGC operates mobile harm reduction programs across the state, which distribute harm reduction supplies including naloxone, safer use kits, drug testing strips, and hygiene supplies to communities with high overdose burdens. Mobile teams provide direct connection to treatment when clients are ready.
Each month, FGC’s mobile harm reduction vans engage over 1,500 individuals and distribute over 3,500 Narcan kits/month. Programs are currently operating in Chicago, Harvey, and Joliet.
Peer support services:
FGC employs peers across all locations and services, to ensure that patients receive care and connection from individuals who understand what they have been through. Peer Recovery Support Specialists lead outreach teams and manage harm reduction programs.
Drug checking program:
In 2024, FGC launched a drug checking program out of its mobile harm reduction outreach programs in Chicago and Harvey, Illinois. The program utilizes two mobile drug checking spectrometers to check drug samples provided by the community. People who submit samples are informed of the testing results and provided with harm reduction counseling and supports around safer drug use.
